London - Brighton Report
by Peter & Shelagh Lee
Our first major event in Lee Frog , so well organised by Mr Maurice Dilley and his team, we left Chandler's Ford and headed for Putney via M3. car purring along at speed limits. Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability had a subsidised coffee shop and good facilities (Tou Louse in fact), met some great 2CVers and joined 'convoy' South, somewhat fragmented by Sunday traffic,
Apart from one transposed direction, Sussex lanes were fine and reached Hove Park almost together - in good time. Trade Stands very welcome so bought essentials & fripperies and mingled until 'silly games' commenced & triggered showers.
Home via Coast Road - 219 miles o/a , 47.9 mpg - hey, that's almost half way to Kelso! Brilliant day out! Thanks everybody.
As an addition, new grille procured at Hove, and new Lee Frog graphics designed by 'Mrs Frog' and produced by 'Graphics by Jeff & Chris' EXACTLY to specification. Shall send a pic for 'Boot Art' as we had two and they are placed over convenient 'dings'.

Shelagh Lee has been short-listed (June 2005) for Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year as she has taken her choirs, orchestras etc to the required levels in competitions & Festivals - You can imagine how up to £10,000 worth of musical instruments would transform her school as like every industry -The children are already benefiting, some have been accepted for Music Scholarships, even major London Musicals (‘Les Mis' for instance) - Not bad for 7-11 year olds!
