24hr 2CV race at Spa
( now 24H24' ).
2CVTV went to Spa with the weather set to be good, but with mist at night.
Fifty-six 2CV teams took part, two were from the UK - car 63 POMS Racing and car 71 Blue Haggis UK.
The race was scheduled to start on Saturday at 16:00 and to last 24 hours 24 minutes. Fourteen Smart cars were to share the track for their own four-hour Smart Cup race which was to start 20 seconds after the 2CVs and finish at 20:00.
The overnight fog had held up the qualifying sessions and races earlier in the day and the 24h24m race started two hours late.
