There were only 3 cars from the "NITS" northern Ireland tin snails club that went to France. Myself (Binky) and my partner Sid in the green 2cv6, Andy in the white car, with Graham from Glasgow as a passenger, and Keith in the yellow one with the Solex on the back.
We travelled from the North of Ireland down to Rosslare in the south. We got the ferry to Cherbourg then drove to St Dizier over a couple of days. In total we done 1260 miles there and back.
The weather, as you can see from the photos, was lovely. Very hot. We queued for 6 hours to get onto the campsite as there were close to 3000 cars at the event.
All the entertainment was laid on. There were bars, marquees with live bands, stalls including 2cv, Burtons, Hoffmans and countless others, all very reasonably priced. It was a great camp with lots to do and fantastic amenities.
