Puddleducks Camp
The last camp.
With the 2cv loaded with all the light stuff, 2 dogs and my granddaughter Lacey we headed from home. The wife was following behind in her mini, with all the heavy stuff and she is our support vehicle. A bright pink car, who can not see that.
After some congestion and a short stop we were soon at the Wick Farm campsite, nearr West Wittering, West Sussex. My wife looks after the dogs while Lacey and I unpack and erect the dandy, our home for the weekend.
The Puddleducks lay on a supper on the Friday. A selection of soups, French bread and a buffet. All for a few pounds. This is a great start to what is a fantastic weekend.
Saturday, is a quite easy day, do what you like, then in the evening after some fun & games. They have a fancy dress competition, this year was we're meet again. The BBQ's are ready to use and we cook our own food. Everybody is here, with rows of tables and camping chairs of every description. Little lights give a glow, just enough to read your raffle tickets. Some people have candelabra with real candles flickering. Competition winners are announced and the raffle is drawn. This year we won 8 prizes. Lacey was playing with the other children as we drank our beverages all under a clear night sky.
Sunday morning is more take it easy, as we dismantle our camp, pack up the cars and after saying goodbye, adios, farewell, or Au Revior. We head for home. A great time was had by all. Till we meet again.
Thanks Alan, Angel and Lacey
