New Year's Day Barbeque
Les Fils de Vitesse - Hayling Island

Les Fils de Vitesse New Year's Day Barbecue at the Hayling Island Light Railway, Hampshire.
Quite a few of us came out to blow away the cobwebs etc. from the night before. The wind certainly achieved that object! We knew it was going to rain at 13:15 (it fooled us and started at 13:10!) so we had the barbie's ready to cook on from midday and everyone got fed without getting wet - apart from the hardy souls insisting on grilling their marshmallows later on!
Bob, the railway man, let us use one of the engine sheds for seating and a brew up. It was a bit of a tight fit but much appreciated.
Next year everything will move to the new engine sheds at the other end of the line - maybe they will have toilets there that are open on NYD!
See you there.
