saw the publication of
Citroën 2CV by Malcolm Bobbitt
This is a lovely book by Malcom Bobbitt full of information about all things 2CV. Malcolm starts with the early beginnings of car production at Citroen and some details of the life of the great man Andre CItroën. He covers the early prototype of the 2CV, with its single headlight and 375cc engine, and the early production years, then moving on to describe the car as it became increasingly popular and an instantly recognised car. He has a chapter on the British 2CV and one on the variants that were introduced such as the Mehari, Ami and Dyane. Malcolm Bobbitt has described this iconic, quirky and much loved little car in 96 pages of easy to read text, peppered with lots of photographs. He has been thorough in his research and has written a book that is both interesting and informative. I really enjoyed reading it. |
